Here is a 'short list' of really "Famous" Americans with a documented propensity for having absolutely NO DESIRE to protect and defend the foreign policies of this country by physically showing up in any combat zone - anywhere - ever!

And amazingly, being well-established chickens***ts, at heart, that doesn't mean that they haven't got really, really BIG mouths to match their equally colossal egos! ............ especially Mr. Bush and his rant about the Constitution! .... and Billy Clinton and his famous words, (under oath?), "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky." .... Right. And then "The Chub Scout" (fit for service only in time of war - which, in his special case, Vietnam obviously WASN'T worthy of his lard!) He being one of the ultimate hypocrites .... who now makes a fortune defending the presence of our young men and women in war zones everywhere while perched like a Gadfly on a pedestal with his own public radio stage! .... (what a real 'Merican hero for us all to simply worship) .... He is also the de facto head of the Republican political machine. Is that a mere coincidence or is it a "Birds of a Feather - Flock Together" kind of a thing?

Like all the rest of these fine, upstanding and 'comfortable' American citizens listed below .... Had they all shown the courage of their convictions by taking the risk of pulling a little 'duty' in a combat zone .... FIRST! .... I wouldn't have any excuse at all to cop an 'attitude' toward them and none of their prominent names would NEED TO BE HERE! .... There would be no need for this page to even exist!

Their actions speak for them .... and they chose 'no' action .... plain and simple ...

That's the TRUTH of the matter .... So suck it up! .... And don't start with the lame argument about there being thousands of other 'financially less fortunate' "Draft Dodgers" and even deserters .... none of those people are running for jobs in the government - they're too busy just running from the government!

Being a "Chicken S**T" is one thing. So long as ALL "Chicken S**Ts" are disallowed, by federal law, from holding public office in this country forever. Any "Chicken S**T" who uses any subsequent job, post or position to publicly promote the use of warm bodies in any war zone should automatically be jailed in Leavenworth Military Prison for a minimum of 5 years - without appeal for preferential treatment or early parole. The punishment is per each offense.

In other words, Dodge your duty to your country if your urge for self preservation isso great! - BUT stay out of the government and keep your collective mouths shut about who else gets to earn the 1,000 Yard Stare, OK? ....

And remember that real men and women have no problem serving their country bravely and with honor! .... We would actually prefer putting our lives on the line for THE TRUTH rather than a bunch of cheap political lies, IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

George W. Bush
Bush successfully dodged the draft by volunteering for a six-year hitch in the Texas Air National Guard. Most of that time his actual whereabouts were allegedly unaccounted for.

Rush Limbaugh
Limbaugh received a military classification of 1-Y (fit for service only in time of war), thus avoiding the draft.

Dick Cheney got five deferments and never served.

John Ashcroft had six deferments and never served.

Dan Qualye was whisked into a National Guard company that was actually barred by law from leaving Indiana.

Selective Service System records indicate that U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo, who
at the time spoke out in favor of the war, appealed his 1-A draft status and
was classified 1-Y, which meant he wouldn't serve. The Littleton Republican
said he recalled appearing for his physical, telling doctors he'd been
treated for depression, and then getting classified as 1-Y. RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Mitch McConnell was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama to Julia (née Shockley) and Addison Mitchell McConnell. His official U.S. Senate Web site biography omits his Alabama birthplace, stating that he was "Born on February 20, 1942, and raised in south Louisville". McConnell was raised in southern Louisville, Kentucky, where he attended the duPont Manual High School, and in 1964 he graduated with honors from the University of Louisville. He was student body president and a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. He graduated in 1967 from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was elected the president of the Student Bar Association.

McConnell became a member of the 100th Training Unit, U.S. Army Reserve, in Louisville, Kentucky during his final semester of law school, and he reported for his six months of active service, primarily for training, in July 1967. After induction at Fort Knox, Kentucky, McConnell was released early from his active-duty military service in August 1967.

Controversy exists as to the reason for his discharge, at a time when troops were being sent to Vietnam for combat duty. John Cooper, a U.S. Senator from Kentucky (for whom McConnell had interned) wrote a letter in August 1967 to the commanding general at Fort Knox, asking when McConnell would be "cleared" from active duty so as to attend New York University. The registrar's office at NYU has no record of McConnell applying or registering for classes; further, he had already been graduated from the University of Kentucky with a law degree before enlisting in the reserve. According to a former campaign manager, McConnell received a medical discharge for optic neuritis (a symptom of multiple sclerosis), which is usually curable within 3-4 weeks and is not by itself a reason for discharge, according to Dr. Timothy Allen, the former Chief Medical Officer of the U.S. military. McConnell has declined to be interviewed regarding this issue, or to release medical records.

In 1992, McConnell teamed up with the University of Louisville to create the McConnell Center.
